Athens - The world’s first and last democracy

On Thursday 23rd June the gallery will be hosting a talk by the noted classicist Dr. Peter Jones MBE. 

 
Athens - the world’s first and last democracy will last about 45 minutes after which there will be a short questions and answers session. It should be a fascinating and enlightening event.
 
A renowned author, broadcaster and journalist - with a weekly column in the Spectator - Peter Jones is a graduate of Cambridge University and was formerly a Senior Lecturer at the University of Newcastle.
 
The lecture will begin at 6.45pm with the doors opening at 6pm allowing guests to enjoy a glass of wine and a preview of some of the pieces we shall be showing at London Art Week, which will opens the following Thursday.
