A highly important Egyptian master sculptor's teaching aid. The large flake of hard limestone has an irregular, roughly convex surface. It is carved in high relief with the heads of seven animals; the mask of a panther, a scarab beetle and five animals in profile: a lion, a gazelle, a hound and two calves, one with its tongue out, lapping. Some dendritic staining and the muzzle of the dog chipped away.
