Carved from white marble, the menacing looking satyr has rounded, youthful cheeks, his brows frowning and high-arching, lines around his mouth and chin, his nose is fairly wide and his lips plump. As is typical of satyrs, his hair is tousled and his elongated ears were likely once pointed, though the tops have broken away. A fragment without restoration.
