The lip of this single-handled cup is inset and concave, the outsplayed rim thickened, the body is deep and curves in towards the conical ring foot. The ring handle is attached from the rim to just below the inset lip. The surface is covered in a lustrous black glaze, the underside reserved and with a red wash save for a dotted circle at the centre and a band of black on the inner wall of the foot.
