Highly refined fragment of a male head, which preserves the upper part of his face and the front half of his wig, the wavy locks delicately drawn, radiating outwards from the top of his head in a style often adopted by high officials of the period. He has heavily lidded, bulbous eyes, typical of this period, that look out through narrow slits, with smile lines indicating his age. A fragment without restoration.
