Carved architectural element featuring three acanthus leaves. Two smaller leaves flank a larger central leaf, which rises behind them to frame and support their forms. The piece is carved in the round with naturalistic detail, including the reverse side of the the fronds, which curve gracefully upward, the tips curling forward and over in a dynamic, lifelike manner. Some minor losses, and weathering to the surface. Intact.
