The tripod base supported by lion paws with simplistic openwork palmettes between. The tapering, faceted, octagonal shaft, terminates in a ridged collar, and is crowned with a pinecone surrounded by four extended arms terminating in spiked palmettes. Break to shaft consolidated.
The various sections were solid cast using the lost-wax method, then soldered together. It has been suggested that a candle would have been attached to each of the four arms.
