Byzantine bronze plaque from a casket depicting the Hebrews Shadrak, Mishak and Abednego in the fiery furnace, wearing orientalising costume of tunics, cloaks and Phrygian hats. Two stand in the position of prayer, hands raised to God, looking right, flames lapping at their feet, whilst the figure on the proper left is reaching off the side of the scene. To the left a male and female lion stand beside a cypress tree. Eight perforations around the edges to allow for attachment. Recomposed from large fragments with some restoration particularly to the edge.
